Horváth Milla – psychologist with a focus on health psychology

Portrait of Horváth Milla, psychologist

I am Milla, a psychologist. I completed my bachelor’s degree (behaviour analyst, 2020–2023) and my master’s degree (psychologist, 2023–2025) at the Szombathely campus of ELTE. I am currently researching how stress is linked to digestive complaints in the gastroenterology programme of the Károly Rácz Conservative Medicine Doctoral School at Semmelweis University.

As a psychologist I support people online who are struggling with stress, anxiety, perfectionism, difficulties with control, mood problems and physical strain. Whether you need something to hold on to through a hard time or you are looking for deeper self-knowledge, we can walk the road to your goal together.

Empathetic, non-judgemental & evidence-based care

Milla’s introduction video (2 minutes, in Hungarian)

Get to know me a little before you book

In the video I talk about who I work with, how I work, and what you can expect at the first session. The video is in Hungarian; our sessions can be entirely in English.

How do I work?

A pace that suits you, effectiveness and honesty are especially important to me. At the first session we get to know each other and decide together what you would like to work on. I choose from evidence-based methods to fit your situation:

What does this mean in practice? I offer psychological counselling and health psychology support. I do not provide psychotherapy, make diagnoses or prescribe medication. If your difficulty calls for psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care, I will help you find the right professional.

Why the connection between body and mind?

My doctoral research is in psychogastroenterology: it looks at how the brain, the nervous system and the digestive system affect each other. That is why, besides general psychological topics, you can also come to me with health psychology questions, for example if you live with IBS, reflux, endometriosis or another chronic illness. You can read more in my article on psychogastroenterology.
